I started sewing dolls' clothes when I was a little girl. I used to watch sewing programmes on television and would copy the rough idea and make clothes for my Pippa dolls. Then my Aunt showed me how to crochet and like most craft people, it soon took over all the extra room in my house with no sign of slowing. So I started selling my items.

I enjoy mixing different crafts and different materials. I have found that things work out better if they are adapted as they go along. I have never followed a pattern completely and write a lot of my own patterns and even change them as I go along sometimes.

But one of the most important things I have achieved is to spark my middle daughter's interest in crafts. I hope she will get as much pleasure out of it as I have.
